Someone once told me I can go into any store and find something to buy within a matter of minutes. Unlike the masses who go from store-to-store hopping to find something I can score a great blouse, heels, earrings or even home decor from anywhere. The key isn’t the store you’re shopping at it’s knowing how to work with what they have. But I’ve always had an eye for creativity and mixing and matching unlikely things.
Which is why I’m never persuaded by sponsored posts, featured collections or trends. This season I’ve become a bit obsessed with a few things I already own and things I need now. I wish my bank account was as large as my fashion addiction. Since it’s not and I have to be selective with my fall and winter wardrobe I’m sharing a few staples to give you inspiration this season.
My first style tip and the simplest place to start is accessorizing. Since I change my jewelry with every outfit I rarely splurge on pieces unless they are statement pieces. Right now I’m into delicate layering. Lots of necklaces and earrings if you have multiple piercings. You can never have too many braclets and rings. In my opinion more is more when it comes to jewelry especially diamonds. I personally like gold, rose gold and unique stones mixed and matched.
Since accessorizing is a standout on it’s on you can pair up or pair down depending upon the occasion. You all already know I love overstated everything so go BIG or go home. Although I enjoy a simple everyday Emily Ratajkowski jeans and bandeau top, I’m all about woman femininity. A power suit is a definite boss play for me. Red, white, royal blue or green are confidence shifting tones that scream you got your shit together! Pair that with the tallest stilettos and I die. HOT!
Since fall is all about color I love living out my inner five year old with purple and pink. Wear the colors that scare you most. Try it on velvet. Head-to-toe velvet. Now I know velvet can be unforgiving so stick with dresses and fitted velvet for your best look. For those of you who don’t feel comfortable with velvet but want to experiment with playful fashion try a men’s suit. I love a sexy oversized white button down with a tie or bow tie. Sex it up with some thigh highs, girl.
My last fall and winter must-have is big ruffles, feathers, fur and lots of skin. Show your back lines, necklines and rock those low v-cut dresses and blouses. Show it off baby. You are a woman and that alone makes you sexy.
Here are a few of my favorite items I’m currently lusting after.
